Chapter 246 Graduate Scholar Award

$1,000 Scholarship for MTSU Graduate Students

The Graduate Scholar Award is a prestigious scholarship for active Phi Kappa Phi members pursuing graduate studies at Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU). This one-time scholarship provides a $1,000 award, which can be paid in full or split into two payments of $500 each, depending on the recipient’s preference.

Eligibility Criteria for the Phi Kappa Phi Graduate Scholar Award

To be eligible for the Graduate Scholar Award, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  1. Phi Kappa Phi Membership: Applicants must be active members of Phi Kappa Phi. Membership dues must be paid by April 15 of the application year, or the applicant must have accepted the invitation to join and be initiated by June 30 of the application year. To verify your membership status, please contact Wendi Watts or Connie Bartemus via email.
  2. Current Enrollment: Applicants must be currently enrolled in a graduate program at MTSU or must have been accepted into an MTSU graduate program to begin by the Fall term of the academic year in which the scholarship is awarded.
  3. Degree-Seeking Status: Applicants must be enrolled in a degree-seeking program at MTSU. Graduate certificate programs are not eligible for this award.
  4. GPA Requirement: Applicants must have a 3.75 GPA or higher, either at the graduate or undergraduate level (depending on current enrollment status). If the applicant has not yet completed graduate-level coursework, their undergraduate GPA must meet this requirement.
  5. Enrollment in Graduate Hours: To receive the scholarship, selected applicants must be enrolled in at least three (3) graduate credit hours during the academic year.

Application Deadline: March 1
